0 Check out these images of a photo shoot I styled. This also helps show off what it looks like when you make all your images the same width in a post. It can go a long way in making the blog look solid and uniform. Always resize to 725 pixels wide and everything will look good. Then cram a bunch of awesome images in your post. You’ll get that long-page look you’re looking for.

0 I love taking a casual t-shirt and dressing it up. Ladies a graphic tee is such an easy piece to work with in your closet, you can pair it with skinny jeans/black pants, fitted blazer and heels for a great look for a night out or simply wear it with leggings and boots for running errands in style. The one I am giving away today I recently did a photo shoot with and made 3 amazing looks out of this single t-shirt, and now so can you. It’s called the Man Bait (love the name alone) and it features the look of a vintage movie poster from the 1940s. I absolutely love it and know you will too. 0 I love seeing my pick’s in magazines. The October 2010 issue of Lucky magazine (page 176) features one of the headbands I carry by Rinette Azizo. If I can figure out how to scan the picture, I will put it up. So in loving Rinette’s creations here are my favorites which you can purchase at http://laurenspicks.com.
Otherwise you can click the picture to get more information about the headbands.

Because you take the time to read my blog, take $20 of your Rinette Azizo headband purchase by entering code “luckymag”. Expires 10-10-2010
0 What is the it shoe this season? I say the lace-up boot, for sure. There are a couple trends this fall that I am seeing, basically anything military style, lacy, and lots of hardware– with combinations in one form or another (lace combat boots or loafers with hardware). If you didn’t invest in ‘over-the-knee’ boots last year, I would say pass on them this year and buy a good pair of motorcycle boots instead. If you did buy yourself ‘over-the-knee boots’ last year, they are still hot..hot…hot.
Grayish Boots- The neutral color palette is here to stay, so I thought I could introduce a new color onto my wardrobe. Here are my favorites:
Sam Edelman 'Belmont'
KORS 'Angie' $350
Corso Como 'Christian' $249.99
Elizabeth and James $395
Updated Black Statement shoe-I always like to add a statement shoe of the season into my collection. It makes it so easy to sex up any outfit for the evening.
Stuart Weitzman 'Ironlady' $525.00
Sam Edelman 'Torin' $224.95
Betsey Johnson 'Alison' $149.95
Penny Loafer- I will tell you in Spring/ Fall 2011, the classic styles will be on trend. To me, nothing is more classic than a penny loafer. Oxfords are still very, very in. Personally I am all over the penny loafer. And you’ll notice among the penny loafers the same trends apply. Some are classic, yes, but you’ll notice some also include hardware, or distressed leather (distressed/ vintage/ worn in leather will be big in 2011) .
Bass $59.00
Prada $595.00
Miu Miu $750.00
Elizabeth and James $235
Biker/ Combat Boot-
Marc by Marc Jacobs $550.00
Modern Vintage 'buckle boots' $350.00
Saw these at the Creative Recreation booth at Project
In my opinion, it’s more important to have one pair of kick-ass shoes for the winter than three pairs of alright shoes. Find what trend works for you and rock that.
